VICKY ADAMS 5th Dan

On Monday 27th January 2025, at the SSKI Hemel Hempstead Dojo, Sensei Vicky Adams passed the grading of 5th Dan.  Vicky taught a black-belt only class the advanced Shotokan kata, Unsu and the grading itself was truly excellent.  This is a tough kata to perform, let alone teach and Vicky did it in style. 

The grading panel consisted of, Sensei Jeff Carson 6th Dan, Sensei Tony Bunting 8th Dan and Sensei Malcolm Phipps 9th Dan.

Many congratulations Vicky.

At the Seishinkai Shotokan Karate International’s Hemel Hempstead Dojo at the Highfield Community Centre on Thursday 13th March, the following students passed their kyu grades in real style.  The standard was excellent and many congratulations to the following students. 

To 2nd Kyu – Daniel Harris, Rani Sarvaiya and Mukil Sethupathi.

To 8th Kyu – Ayana Mungur, Amelia Rambaransingh, Ismail Ahmed, Abdul Ahmed and    Amelia Sayanthan.

To 9th Kyu – Gabriel Ceausu, Ahmad Wodood, Adiel Mwase and Zakarias Kaposztas.

HEMEL HEMPSTEAD DOJO'S MARCH KYU GRADING
 

The above course was a huge success and really well attended.  The instructors on this course were; Sensei Malcolm Phipps 9th Dan, Sensei Tony Bunting 8th Dan and Sensei Jeff Carson 6th Dan.

The course content included, Hangetsu kata and bunkai and bunkai from the Heian kata. Also the use of double blocking and self-defence. Everyone enjoyed the course immensely and lots of good feedback after the course was over. 

Before the course began, Sensei Vicky Adams was presented with her framed ISKS certificate for her godan (5th Dan) grade, which she successfully passed at the end of January.  A grade truly well deserved.

Well done to all and we all look forward to the SSKI Autumn Course in October.
